What changed on October 16?

Patch 1.0.1.7 adds a party invitation system: friends can form a party, queue and enter games together. The same post reports further crash, connection, map and audio fixes. The announcement does not document a maximum party size, a cross-platform feature or every invite button.

A repeatable group-session checklist

  1. Confirm everyone owns Hood Warfare 2, Steam app 5155360, rather than the original game.
  2. Compare the installed menu versions and finish pending updates. Use the current announcements to check for later changes; 1.0.1.7 is the patch that introduced parties, not a required target version.
  3. Decide whether you want to queue together or use a closed password room.
  4. Try joining before relying on voice communication. Then check team versus lobby voice settings.
  5. If a join fails, note whether it fails at invitation, queue, loading or after entering the match.

Do not infer that accepting an invite has created a password-protected room.

Will this session count toward unlocks?

The party and private-room announcements do not specify every progression rule. Before a practice session, record the exact weapon challenge or reputation counter and check it afterward. Use the progression guide to identify the correct track.

For recurring join errors, send version numbers and concise reproduction steps through the official support destinations.
