Patch 1.0.10 added team or whole-lobby voice chat. Its announcement describes push-to-talk with T as the default and an open-microphone option in settings.
Check your microphone deliberately
- Check which microphone Windows is using before joining a match.
- Review the game’s current voice preferences and key binding.
- Use a short test with a friend to check that your voice is audible.
- Check whether the selected channel is your team or the whole lobby.
- Prefer push-to-talk in a noisy room and release the key after speaking.
These are general audio checks, not a measured claim about latency or microphone compatibility.
Microphone input is different from game output
If game sound is missing, changing a microphone alone may not help. See the audio-output guide for the output-device guidance in patch 1.0.1.4.
Reporting a problem
Include the installed version, input device, selected voice mode, channel and whether other people can hear you. Do not publish private voice recordings without the participants’ permission.
