At a glance

Patch 1.0.1.4 reports false anti-cheat kick fixes; 1.0.1.7 reports further connection and crash fixes. Record the exact error and failure stage, update the installation and keep anti-cheat enabled.

What the developer has actually reported

Developer reports, ordered by announcement date
Date (UTC)VersionRelevant change
October 12, 20261.0.10Anti-cheat added; the pause-menu Report action is documented.
October 14, 20261.0.1.4False anti-cheat kicks and some join/crash problems reported fixed.
October 16, 20261.0.1.7Further crash and connectivity fixes reported alongside party invitations.

The Steam store identifies Easy Anti-Cheat and kernel-level anti-cheat. A generic disconnect alone does not identify an anti-cheat failure. The patch notes do not establish that every remaining kick has the same cause.

Start with the exact failure

  • Before reaching the menu: record the launch or anti-cheat error verbatim.
  • While joining: distinguish invitation, queue, loading and room-password failures.
  • After entering a match: record the time until disconnect and whether a kick reason was displayed.
  • Game closes: a crash without a kick message should be recorded as a crash, rather than assumed to be a ban.

This symptom split is editorial triage. It is not a diagnosis of your PC or account.

Use installation checks before speculative workarounds

  1. Finish Steam downloads and compare the current menu version with the announcements.
  2. If an update has not appeared, the 1.0.1.4 post suggests fully exiting Steam and reopening it. Finish other sessions first; do not seek out an older build just to match that post.
  3. Use Steam’s file-integrity check if an incomplete or damaged installation is suspected.
  4. Repeat the same join attempt once, noting whether a solo, party or private-room session changes the result.

Keep anti-cheat enabled. The reviewed announcements do not prescribe disabling protections, editing registry keys or downloading replacement anti-cheat files from a fan site.

Reporting a suspected cheater

The 1.0.10 announcement directs players to Report in the pause menu and says the developer reviews reports. Use observable behavior and a time or match reference. A high score, unusual shot or a frustrating spawn is not independent proof of cheating. The post gives no guaranteed review time or automatic ban threshold.
