## At a glance

The developer announced password private lobbies in patch 1.0.1.4. Use the current menu version and room settings when arranging a match with friends.

## Are private matches available?

Patch 1.0.1.4 introduced password-protected private lobbies. The developer asks players to check the version shown at the bottom right of the menu.

## Before inviting friends

Compare the version number displayed in each player’s menu.
Agree who will host and share the room details and password privately.
Check the room’s visible map and mode settings before starting.
If someone cannot join, record the error and whether a public match works.
This is an editorial preparation checklist. The announcement does not document every menu button, lobby limit or hosting restriction.

## If your version is older

The announcement suggests fully exiting Steam and reopening it if the update has not arrived. Finish any active downloads first, then check the installed version again.

## Private rooms and progression

The private-match announcement does not establish whether every challenge counts in a private room. Record the relevant counter before and after a match rather than assuming it does.
Read the bot-match reference and the progression guide for the distinction between features and verified unlock results.
